Garett has been a realtor in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida for ten years, working mostly with buyers and focused on short-term rental properties. He built KeyCodeNavigator after too many showing days spent with a stack of MLS sheets, calling each listing agent for a code, then standing at the door trying to find it again. He runs Vizsla Tech LLC and writes the guides on this site from his own showings.
Why the app exists
I have been a realtor in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida for ten years, working mostly with buyers and mostly on short-term rental properties. A showing day here means a stack of MLS sheets and a list of houses up and down the coast, and every one of them has a code.
Getting those codes meant calling each listing agent, one at a time, and writing the answer on the sheet. Then, at the door, two things went wrong over and over. I had to keep the code in front of me while I punched it into the keypad with clients waiting, and sometimes I could not find it at all. Sometimes the code was simply wrong, and I was back on the phone in the driveway.
KeyCodeNavigator is the tool I wanted on those days. Save each property once with its codes and the contact who gave them to you. When you pull up, the codes are on screen. If one does not work, the person most likely to have the current code is one tap away, and you can update it on the spot.
The bigger idea is for listing agents to use it too. Put the property in once, and send its codes to any buyer's agent who asks to show it, as a single message, in seconds. Fewer phone calls, fewer wrong codes, and a showing that starts at the door instead of in the driveway.
It was designed for realtors. It turned out to be just as useful for cleaners, hosts, property managers and anyone else whose day runs on codes, including places with no street address, like a storage unit or a gate at the back of a property.
Why your codes stay on your phone
Door codes are other people's security. The app was designed so that there's no sign-up and no database of anyone's codes. Everything you save is encrypted on your device and locked behind Face ID or your own password. When you share a place, it's encrypted on your phone, and our server holds it only until the other phone has it. There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the privacy policy says so in plain language.
Who makes it

KeyCodeNavigator is published by Vizsla Tech LLC, my company in Santa Rosa Beach. The guides on the blog come from real showings and rentals rather than from a content calendar. If you have a question, a feature request or a story about a code you could not find, email info@vizslatech.app. A real person reads every message.
